Although most restrictions for double vaccinated Victorians have been scrapped the message is still…. Always Stay Safe, Wear an approved face mask when required, which includes when we are indoors except for our own home, use QR codes and provide vaccination information when needed, Practice Social Distancing and Good Hygiene, and get tested if you feel crook.
The Maryborough District Health Service has a testing clinic in in Florence Lane but is by appointment only. If you think you need their services please call 5461 0300 during office hours. The Coronavirus Hotline is 1800 675 398. Save 000 for emergencies.
As restrictions continue to be eased please let us know if you are opening up again, especially if you are one our community or sporting groups, so we can keep our listeners up to date.
After the holiday break the community hub will once again be a COVID immunisation centre, so only the top floor will be available for community use. The offices of Goldfields FM will be open on weekdays between 9.00am and 4.00pm. To access the radio station please press the bell on the rear door. The Central Goldfields Art Gallery is closed for renovations, but you can still get your art fix on the Gallery’s Facebook Page.
The Lions Club Bookshop is open on weekdays and Saturday morning. All Op shops are open. The Salvation Army is still providing crisis assistance at Wills Street and for Vinnies assistance phone 54611074.
Community sport can once again be played under COVID 19 conditions and the Leisure Centre, Gyms and other indoor sport have all reopened.
Let’s hope more community activities can now get underway again. Most of these activities will recommence after the holiday break……..
The Maryborough & District Garden Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the RSL Hall @ 7.30pm.
The Maryborough & District Mental Health Carers Support Group gets together at the Community Hub at 1.00pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
The Maryborough & District Support Group 4 Carers gets together at Mill Neighbourhood House at 10.30am on the third Thursday of each month.
The Maryborough Country Music Club will return after the Christmas break.
In great news we can now participate in many community activities including markets, art exhibitions and Australia Day Celebrations just to name a few.
