The Maryborough District Advertiser (sponsor) has room on it’s Community Billboard for not-for-profit community groups. Call the Addy on 5461 3866 to have your group included.

The offices of Goldfields FM and the Community Hub are normally open from 9.00am to 4.00pm on weekdays. During the holiday period our offices and the Community Hub will be closed from 2.00pm on Wednesday 24th December until Monday 5th January 2026. But you can still contact Goldfields FM on 5461 3570, or email info@goldfieldsfm.org.au.

The Central Goldfields Shire Customer Service Centre is normally open from 9.00am to 4.00pm every week day, except public holidays. You can contact the Shire on 5461 0610 during office hours. During the holiday period the Central Goldfields Shire Customer Service Centre will be closed from 2.00pm on Wednesday 24th December until Monday 5th January 2026.

Check the Central Goldfields Shire Council website for all the latest local information, including how to access Shire services. We will catch up with Central Goldfields Shire Mayor, Ben Green, or Deputy Mayor, Anna de Villiers, every Wednesday and Friday for an update.

The Central Goldfields Art Gallery is open between 10.00am to 4.00pm from Thursday to Sunday every week. The Gallery will be closed from Monday 22nd December until Friday 2nd January. You can get your art fix on the Gallery’s Facebook Page and Website.

Our local markets are up and running. The Lions Club Bookshop is open on weekdays and Saturday mornings. The Salvation Army is still providing crisis assistance at Wills Street and for Vinnies assistance phone 54611074.

Many of these groups will take a break during January, but we will still give them a mention…

The Maryborough & District Garden Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Maryborough Senior Citizens Rooms in Phillip’s Gardens @ 7.30pm.

The Maryborough & District Mental Health Carers Support Group gets together at the Community Hub at 1.00pm on the first Wednesday of each month.

The Maryborough & District Support Group 4 Carers gets together at the Mill Neighbourhood House at 10.30am on the third Thursday of each month.

The Maryborough Country Music Club is on at the Highland Society (Sponsor) on the first Sunday of every month.

The Goldfields Music Club will conduct a family friendly Open Mike every second & fourth Friday of each month from 6.30pm at the Dunolly Golf Club.

The Maryborough Senior Citizens have activities every week day at their Clubrooms in Phillips Gardens. For more information call Veronika on 0407 306 476.

The U3A meets for learning activities almost every week day during school terms. For information about the U3A call Maria on 0417 157 243.
